Creating Your Wedding Ceremony
Introduction
This questionnaire was designed to
help you focus your thoughts to create ideas for a meaningful wedding ceremony
that speaks from the heart of who you are.
These questions are simply a starting point. If you would like to symbolize something in
the ceremony, but aren’t sure how, we can work together on that.
Background:
Describe any
pertinent events or stories that led to the desire for this wedding
ceremony. For example, the story of
meeting your fiancé, the evolution of your relationship, how you decided to
marry, or any other wonderful story you’d like to celebrate.
What do you want
to accomplish with the ceremony? What
statement are you making to your family and friends present?
Do you wish to
acknowledge the guests for their participation in your lives or relationship at
all? If so, what comes to mind that you
would like to express?
What is the
dream or vision you have for your life together?
What words would
you choose to describe your relationship?
What would you
say you have done successfully to create this relationship?
What do you each
value most about your partner?
In what ways has
your relationship grown over time? How
would you like it to grow or deepen in your married life?
General ceremony questions—
